FAQ

Does this tool guarantee official approval?

No. It helps crop and resize photos, but official acceptance depends on the document authority and the exact photo requirements.

Can I change a passport photo background to white or blue?

Yes. You can optionally remove the background with AI and choose white, off-white, light gray, blue, red, or a custom color. Some official rules may restrict edited backgrounds, so check the official requirement before submission.

What does Photo Check verify?

The first version checks output size, pixel resolution, selected file-size target, background choice, face centering, zoom range, eye guide reminder, and source image resolution.

Which countries and document types are included?

The tool includes common templates for major passport, visa, ID, residence, and immigration photo sizes across North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America. If your exact requirement is different, choose Custom / Other and enter the official size.

Can I use HEIC photos from an iPhone?

Yes. HEIC and HEIF files are converted in your browser before cropping.

What does DPI change?

DPI controls the pixel dimensions used for a physical size. A 2 x 2 inch photo at 300 DPI exports as 600 x 600 pixels; at 600 DPI it exports as 1200 x 1200 pixels.
